Gelt Tech is evaluating treatment approaches based on selective magnetic separation.
The purpose of this technology is to lower water treatment costs while enabling the recovery of oil and metals from contaminated streams, where field evidence supports doing so.
Our pilot uses magnetic materials with a designed surface to bind targeted contaminants and enable separation through magnetic recovery, in contexts characterized by:
-
Variable water chemistry
-
Separation challenges under conventional treatment
-
Constraints on chemical addition
-
The need for modular, non-invasive integration.
How decisions are made
Pilot work is evaluated, with emphasis on performance under operating conditions and the implications of scaling.
The objective is to determine:
-
whether the approach performs as required
-
under what conditions it fails or degrades
-
What scaling would introduce operationally and economically?
What remains constant
Materials and configurations may change. The decision logic does not: performance under real conditions precedes scale.
